We are eternally grateful to our friends in the Lowell community for bringing us great film ideas — these are the sort of partnerships we relish. Our thanks for our Massachusetts premiere screening of Who Killed Chea Vichea? goes to our dear friend Sayon Soeun, Executive Director of one of Lowell’s most inspiring organizations, Light of Cambodian Children. We’re honored to be showing this film in collaboration with Lowell National Historical Park as part of their lineup of special April events commemorating the Cambodian New Year (FACT: second only to Long Beach, CA, the City of Lowell has the largest Cambodian population in the U.S.). Our screening will include a post-film discussion with producer Rich Garella of Loud Mouth Films who will give complete background on the film project and the crucial message it delivers. Though admission to the event is free, the filmmakers will kindly ask for pledges and donations to support distribution of the film, especially in Cambodia, where it has currently been banned. If you’d like to make a pledge, you may do so at any time via the film’s donation page.

For details on this gripping documentary, visit WhoKilledCheaVichea.com. We also encourage you to join the film’s Facebook group. If you plan on attending the event, feel free to RSVP via the LFC’s official event page, and please use that page to help us get the word out. As you know, there’s nothing like a successful grassroots effort to bring people together.

As always, MANY thanks for your support of our film events — we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
