For all you horror buffs out there planning to attend Mill City Mayhem 2009 – Lowell’s first ever horror film marathon – today we are announcing the fourth and final film of the fear fest. It’s Trick ‘r Treat, a fun, clever and gory little film that’s been making the horror fest circuit this year, and to absolutely rave reviews. Dread Central gave the film five stars, stating that it “ranks alongside John Carpenter’s Halloween as traditional October viewing and I can’t imagine a single horror fan that won’t fall head over heels in love with it.”
Told in a style similar to DC comics-influenced fare like Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt, Trick ‘r Treat is an anthology of four stories, all taking place on Halloween night, but in a non-linear format, with characters overlapping within the stories. It’s a welcome addition to the three already-announced films The Signal, Inside and Martyrs.
If you’ve been waiting to get your tickets, you’re almost out of time. Only three tickets are left, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. No tickets will be offered on the day of the ‘thon! Tickets are available online via Paypal through the horror ‘thon web site, www.millcitymayhem2009.com. Visit the site for full details.
