Get “The Real Dirt on Farmer John” next Tuesday at the LNHP Visitor Center!

The-Real-Dirt-On-Farmer-JohnFor many of us in Lowell,  summer means more than just late sunsets and (usually) great weather – it also means the beginning of the CSA delivery season, where Community Supported Agriculture groups bring us loads of fresh, locally grown vegetables once a week.

The Lowell Film Collaborative loves food, and we love Community Supported Agriculture. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Tufts New Entry Sustainable Farming Project (NESFP) for our latest film screening to be held next Tuesday, July 14, at Lowell’s Visitor Center.

The Real Dirt on Farmer John is an epic tale of a maverick Midwestern farmer. An outcast in his community, Farmer John bravely stands amidst a failing economy, vicious rumors, and violence. By melding the traditions of family farming with the power of art and free expression, this powerful story of transformation and renewal heralds a resurrection of farming in America.

Join the NESFP and the Lowell Film Collaborative for this uplifting documentary that captures what it means to be different in rural America.
